ActiveX Components
The ActiveX component aspect of intraNET provides additional functionality to PC based users. Installing the components is optional but recommended for best experience. Utilizing the activex components will allow your users the following functionality.
Drag and Drop File Transfers
WYSIWYG HTML Editor
Outlook Calendar Sync
User Importing Tool
Edit MS office documents on the fly
Installing ActiveX Components
Uninstall ActiveX Components
*if you are upgrading from V5.5 to V5.6 the old activex components must be removed and reinstalled for new functionality to work.
ATTENTION WINDOWS VISTA USERS!!!
To proprely install intraNET ActiveX components in Windows Vista, you have to login as “Administrator” account. This account is DISABLED by default in all Windows Vista distributions. You have to enable the “Administrator” account and perform the installation steps by logging in as “Administrator”.
To enable the “Administrator” account see the following:
- go to Control Panel – Administrative Tools – Computer Management
- select Users from Local Users and Groups category
- open Properties for “Administrator” account
- remove the check box for “Account is disabled”; click OK
