Access Rights & Permissions
Access Rights are settings that are assigned to a User or a Group, which allow or restrict Users to perform certain intraNET functions.
• Only Administrators are permitted to assign Access Rights.
• Individual User Rights always override Group Rights.
The following set of Access Rights can be assigned to Users and Groups in several different combinations.
• Read
• Post
• Modify
• Admin
• Route
Read Access Rights allow Users to read application content only. For example, a User with Read Rights to a Document Manager could read Files, Notes and Attachments but would not be permitted to modify, upload or create new Files and Folders.
Post Access Rights allow Users to read application content and in addition add, create or upload new content to the intraNET.
Modify Access Rights allow Users to read application content as well as modify existing content. They are not allowed to create new content.
Administrator Access Rights allow Users to read, post and modify application content and also have access to the application settings. Administrators of a particular application can modify the application preferences, assign Access Rights, set up Auto Notifications, and perform other administrative functions.
Route Access Rights are only applicable when assigning Access Rights for Document Managers, Data Managers and Image Managers. Users with Route Access Rights are permitted to use the intraNET Routing Capabilities.
If all Access Rights are removed for a User or Group then they will no longer be able to see or access the Application or Section.
